The Oklahoma Association for Developmental Education's main mission encompasses
- promoting greater interest in the learning and teaching of developmental education;
- providing services and opportunities for the professional growth and development of educators;
- promoting the value of developmental education;
- cooperative efforts promoting the purpose of OKADE;
- serving as a resource for local, state, and federal organizations; and
- stressing the need for informed and responsible participation in educational issues.

- professional links and affiliation with national developmental education groups;
- recognition of noteworthy achievements and exemplary efforts in developmental education; and
